Election Information
Early voting runs from Monday, October 22nd until Friday, November 2nd.
Election day is Tuesday, November 6th.

Identification Required for Voting
Texas voters who possess one of the seven approved forms of photo ID that they must present that ID at the polls. Voters who do not possess and cannot reasonably obtain one of the seven forms of approved photo ID may execute a Reasonable Impediment Declaration form, available to them at each polling location, and provide a supporting form of identification. In addition, certain voters may qualify for certain exemptions to presenting an acceptable form of photo identification or following the Reasonable Impediment Declaration procedure.

Endorsement information
Participants:
To vote during the endorsement meeting, participants must be 14-40 years of age and paid members of HCYD.
Candidates:
Candidates were screened prior to the endorsement meeting by the HCYD Endorsement Committee after completing a questionnaire and returning by the designated deadline. Due to the volume of candidates, the committee selected certain contested state and local races (non-judicial). The committee then voted to recommend candidates for endorsement. Recommendations were presented to the membership body for consideration and discussion, and a final vote at the February general meeting decided the official slate of endorsements.

Andrew Martinez and James Burnett, Endorsement Committee Co-Chairs, led a group of 12 Young Democrats through the endorsement process.
